Accept it. You need to be on Social Media.

Your customers expect to see those social media icons on your correspondence and when they login to Facebook, they expect your name to show up when they type it in the search bar. This logic applies to new and existing businesses, but also to brands and teams who need to run a campaign to support a promotion.

socialmediaDo any of these sound familar? These are the brands you need to broadcast your brand to your potential buyers. Today's customers are looking for content to view and share, and the more you can take advantage of this desire, the better you can share a message about your products and services.

SOME GREAT ADVICE

If you don't have a marketing budget, sit with your accoutant or look at your books and try to see how you can designate at least 5% of your gross to invest in marketing. This budget will be used for actual marketing related expenses such as graphic design, printing, social media buys, traditional media (radio/TV/newsprint), online advertising, giveaways and public relations expenses.

Dedicate at least 2 hours a week to updating your social media with shared and original content. Whether you post new menu items, inventory updates, featured products, upcoming sales or just posts you find elsewhere and share, it is important to keep your social presence updated.

CONSISTENT CONTENT CREATION

It is great to share content that others have created, but nothing beats your own original information. Producing at least one original piece per month in the form of a blog post or article, plus sharing to select social media outlets will keep your profile fresh and relevant.
