A conversation between two guns: Mr. 9, said to Mr. 45 "M-16 and Magnum nah live too right. German Luger too hype; AK make nuff youth lose them life..."

Buju Banton is one of the most conscious of the conscious reggae artists. In today's lingo, he has been "woke" since the 1990's and has continued to share his revelations over the years with intelligent, relatable music.

"Mr. Nine" is a commentary on the importance that guns play in the ghettos of the world, particularly in Buju's hometown of Jamaica. He mentions many types of guns and perfectly describes them in one short sentence each, and every single name is one that most people will recogise. The message is that we believe that having a gun brings a good life, but in reality nothing could be further from the truth.

"AR-15 controls a whole housing scheme. The one Mack-11 ran away gone a Papine. 38 carries a vibe, true Glock is on a rise. 380 Matic sticks up and makes a bag of noise, M1 says he don't put up with the foolishness. HK-Bomber rules an entire district, Walter PPK who boasty like this...

"No Mack-22 cause anywhere that fits, 303. still talking but Kennedy's skit. While Chopper, cut into 2 and split justice. Pump Rifle still a bodyguard for the man who drives the Brinks, SLR is definitely a soldier-man things. Mack-11, the Uzi and all the M-3 - all of them belong to the Israelis...

"Smith & Wesson, that they give to John Wayne. Tommy was a bad boy in his days. When Gatlin talk, few witnesses remain. Him an SMG, the 2 of them are the same. 5.56MM shells, with Special and Remingtons ringing bells. Cannon is heavy to carry, so they push it on a trolley. Taurus is a bull which kicks you down and doesn't say sorry. Pedal-pusher starts the riot, security keeps him quiet. From 1P0P is here, you know shots will fire."

Every man wants a gun like it is life. They think it is the bullet and the shell that makes them survive. Listen to Buju Banton and open up your eyes....
